The music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Les Misérables, and MORE!' in a high energy tour of some of Broadway's greatest hits of the past few decades. Andrew Lloyd Webber's music has captured the hearts of music fans all over the world. His gift of combining memorable melodies with rock rhythms and a timeless use of the symphony orchestra has made him the world's most recognizable stage composer. Les Misérables - and her earlier sister show, Miss Saigon, are just as popular and timeless as Webber's works. You'll also get more when the orchestra performs favorites from "The Producers," and even some older Broadway classics like "New York, New York," "42nd Street" and perhaps even a Stephen Sondheim number or two. The Toledo Symphony Orchestra was formed in 1943 as The Friends of Music and was incorporated in 1951. The TSO has grown from a core group of 22 part-time musicians to an orchestra that employs 80 professional full-time musicians. Since its inception, the Toledo Symphony has provided uninterrupted musical services for more than 40 communities in northwest Ohio and southwest Michigan. During the 2006-2007 season, the Toledo Symphony Orchestra provided more than 400 performances to audiences of 302,500, including 113 educational ensemble performances and 75 orchestra performances.
