The Ritz Teen Thespian Guild, a group of young performers from area high schools, will present a multi-media one-hour portion of this definitive dystopian story of a society where Big Brother is always watching-where everything that is not prohibited is compulsory and he, who controls the past, controls the future .Twenty-five years beyond the title date, the novel and the play should stimulate thought and raise questions as to how close our contemporary world is to the one Orwell imagined in 1949. The experience becomes even more exciting and memorable as students watch their peers acting on stage.
