  Doubt, A Parable
By John Patrick Shanley
February 17, 18, & 25, 2012 - 7:30 PM
February 26, 2012 - 2:00 PM "A theatrical experience … sinful to miss," wrote New York Magazine of Doubt, the winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Play. Set in 1964 at a fictional catholic school in the Bronx, the play addresses issues of faith, truthfulness and determination to do what's right at any cost. Sister Aloysius, head of the school, suspects that Father Flynn is having an inappropriate relationship with a student. After being warned by a younger nun, Sister James, of Father Flynn's possible misconduct, Sister Aloysius takes things into her own hands, despite the well being of a young boy, the reputation of a school, and the fate of a popular priest. Leading Ladies
By Ken Ludwig
May 11, 12 & 19, 2012 - 7:30 PM
May 20, 2012 - 2:00 PM
In this hilarious comedy by the author of Lend me a Tenor and Moon over Buffalo, two English Shakespearean actors, Jack and Leo, find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing "Scenes from Shakespeare" on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish Country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. The trouble is, when they get to York, they find out that the relatives aren't nephews, but nieces! Romantic entanglements abound, especially when Leo falls head-over-petticoat in love with the old lady's vivacious niece, Meg, who's engaged to the local minister. Meg knows there's a wide world out there, but it's not until she meets "Maxine and Stephanie" that she finally gets a taste of it. Join us for an evening full of laughter as we watch the story about these two "leading ladies" unfold. An Event in The National Theatre at The Ritz.

Messiah on the Frigidaire
By John Culbertson
July 13, 14 & 21, 2012 - 7:30 PM
July 22, 2012 - 2:00 PM
The small town of Elroy, South Carolina is thrust into the evangelical spotlight when what seems to be the image of Jesus appears on a refrigerator in a trailer park. The discovery by Lou Ann Hightower, her husband Dwayne, and her best friend Betsy sets into motion a frenzy of conflict, communion and good old fashioned commerce. When the National Investigator turns the appearance into front page headlines, their trailer park becomes a Mecca for miracle seekers, soul searchers and disciples with a decidedly political agenda. At the urging of the town's business leaders, Betsy pretends to get messages from the appliance-based apparition, and the crowds multiply like loaves and fishes. Through the ordeal, the three undergo an evolution in their relationships with each other, and they are forced to come to grips with their lowly status in the caste system of the rural South. In a region where religion is as much a part of life as grits and cotton fields, God surely moves in mysterious ways. Adult $11, Student $7
